Tipfuxeni Youth Project from Belfast Village, South Africa

The Tipfuxeni Youth Project, which is situated in Belfast Village in Mpumalanga, South Africa, was founded in 1996.
Aim of the Project is to take the youth away from the streets, prevent them from drugs, alcohol, teenage pregnancy and all bad things happening in the country. The organization is doing this in order to assist the youth to raise funds so that they can pay for their school fees, buy school uniforms and all their needs in life. The project consists of kids between the ages of 14 – 26 years. All kids that are part of the project are from poor families. Therefore, the aim of the project is to assist those kids with financial needs so that they can be able to go to school. The project has 35 kids in total. Over the past years they have managed to help a lot of children and all the kids that were assisted through this program are now working.
The project has no income as it is a nonprofit organization. They raise funds for the kids by performing traditional dancing and singing cultural songs on nearby Hotels & Lodges, like the Protea Hotel Kruger Gate to look after the kids.
The directors are Mr. Johannes Tshabala and Mr. Norman Themba.
